Must-Have Registry {Jessica’s Picks}

It’s one of the most important shopping lists you’ll ever create — The Baby Registry. For first time moms, the goal is to find products that will truly work for them and baby. This seemingly simple task may be a bit overwhelming when stepping into an isle of way too many options. To help things along, we asked some of our expecting MoPa’s to share what’s at the top of their registry lists. From there, simply add on a few things that borrow from your personal style, and boom — you are now registry ready.

Jessica’s Top Registry Picks.

1. Trumpette Socks  http://www.trumpette.com/socks/socks-girl/socks-girl-baby.html

I’m pretty simple when it comes to shoes- give me a pair of ballet flats any day! These socks are so cute, and come in a wide variety of designs (like ballet flat style, and Mary Janes). I’m really crushing on the Coco’s, Pixies and Olivia’s for our baby girl.

2. Boon Grass Counter Top Drying Rackhttp://www.booninc.com/products/Grass/373

I love items that are functional, designed well and do not take up much space. This fits all three criteria. Counter-space can be precious, and this is pretty while also being compact.

3. Ergo Baby Carrier http://store.ergobaby.com/Baby_Carriers/Original/BC5S

John and I love taking walks with the dog, and in some terrain a stroller would not be feasible. There’s a good difference in height between us, so we wanted to find something that would be of use to either of us, as well as something that would work for a while. The Ergo accommodates adults five feet to six feet five inches and babies seven to forty five pounds.

4. Skip Hop Grand Central Diaper Bag http://www.skiphop.com/product/grandcentraldiaperbag.html

I love this bag in the Cinnamon color! Its a good size bag with three different sections- one for mom, one for baby and a main section. It boasts two insulated pockets for bottles, eleven pockets total, a changing pad and appears to hang well from a stroller. Its functional, a good pop of color and easy to clean!

5. Jogging Stroller Travel System  http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Trend-Expedition-Travel-Stroller/dp/B003VZ8BXO

The Baby Trend Expedition ELX Travel System (Everglade) is appealing to us because we wanted to find a travel system that wasn’t super bulky, that incorporated a decent jogger and that wouldn’t break the bank. We like to run, but don’t find it necessary to have a really hardcore jogging stroller until we know how often it will get used for running and if baby likes to accompany us on runs. This stroller seems to be compact enough to use as an everyday stroller as well. It also includes MP3 speakers, a locking front wheel (so baby doesn’t get jostled around) and adjustable handle height.

Jessica and John are expecting their baby girl in late summer of 2013.
