Come September, your everyday takes on a new pace. There’s an early morning wake-up, packed lunches, organized drop-offs and family pow-wows just to get through the start of a new school season. Let’s face it, the only bonus that comes with such hustle, is back to school shopping. It’s an old school tradition that every mom can get behind.

Here’s our tip: For every three purchases made for your little, you throw in a little something special for you. Now, we’re talkin’.

Here’s our take on back to school cool: We’ll start with the littles because it’s essentially about them, right?! This type of shopping trip runs deep in tradition, so it’s easy to abandon trends and revert back to classics. A basic button-up shirt can easily make it’s way through to Holiday season. Pair with dark denim, or style with color washed cords & a blazer. I think our hearts are a little lighter knowing that geek chic – in the way of glasses is totally in. Grab a pair and watch classmates swoon.

For mom, a transitional knit wins all around. Pair it with an oversized tote so you can literally grab everything, to ensure you’re forgetting nothing & go.
