Thankful, Part 3
“Lumberjack chic” is a fun way to describe our final kids’ Thanksgiving tablescape. This table makes a big impact by layering bold color, oversized decor and natural elements. Littles can get creative with colored pencils and craft paper, while digging in on slices of pumpkin pie.
I’m currently obsessing over plaid right now, so I love this table. Here we use plaid for linens and just keep layering on pattern. Another trend: washi tape art on tabletop – so easy and fun! Bight colored twine or string wrapped around a branch makes a great craft for the kids. The idea here is bold pattern, shape and color, and yes a few crayon pencils too. -Denell
I love the idea of skipping out on the tablecloth and using washi tape to define the place setting. The sky’s the limit on how creative you can get: here we outlined each setting with tape then layered felt cutout animals, wrapped a simple branch in embroidery thread and added a clashing chevron pattern for a pop. There’s no rules to decorating – just have fun! -Lauren
