Pretty Dress season is here, and we are in so in love with the coastal-inspired cotton dress collection by Daisy Laing. We had the chance to interview designer Carolyn Laing to learn more about her collection.
Tell us the inspiration behind the Daisy Laing collection? Daisy Laing is reminiscent of childhood summers spent by the seaside — crisp cottons and classic motifs
If you had to pick just on piece to keep for yourself, which would it be? My favorite piece is our Blue Crab bow tie dress in pink — so precious!
Who is the Daisy Laing? The Daisy Laing child is light spirited, fun loving and playful, but always full of joy!
Where do you see the Daisy Laing brand in the next year or so? I would like to see Daisy Laing becoming a classic American resort line and to hear from our customers that they have their favorite pieces that they have saved for their grandchildren
Who is your biggest inspiration? My own mother who always dressed us with a sense of whimsy!
Three words to describe your personal style? Clean, classic and colorful
What Spring/Summer trends are you loving right now? For children, I am loving a return to classic silhouettes and things that pop with color. For me, I am adding fun, colorful shoes to the mix!
