Local Love {Beach Plum}
When getting together for our ritual playdate – dear friend Sarah, and I usually cover all the necessities; the what and where we’re loving lately. It’s the perfect (and sometimes only) time we get to talk tips, recipes, coping strategies – you name it. For us, it’s all about swapping the best of the best on the local scene. One of our more popular topics? Good food (of course!) – which sometimes takes precedent over the best shellac manicure in town. Well… maybe. Let’s face it – we all have to eat, not to mention that we are perpetually planning our next date night.
This edition of Local Love is perfect for right now… Entertaining? Craving your favorite holiday sweet? Planning to bake, but forgot how? We’ve got you covered.

Meet Sarah & the Beach Plum Bakery Cafe in South Dartmouth, MA.
What do you love about the Beach Plum Bakery Cafe? I love that the Beach Plum Bakery Cafe serves simple and delicious food while also being nestled in a beautiful and scenic location. I feel like it’s a treat to be there every time I go.
We asked you to share your favorite seasonal treat, and you went with their classic chocolate chip cookie – tell us why? I love the chocolate chip cookie because it is the perfect combination of moist gooey chocolate chips with a little bit of a crispy finish. The after bite is so buttery and rich. It’s simple yet decedent all at the same time. The cookies are a huge hit with my husband and daughter as well – they do not stand a chance in our house!
What else would you recommend at the Beach Plum Bakery Cafe? I really enjoy their Turkey, Bacon, Avocado sandwich on multi-grain, it is hands down the best turkey sandwich in the area. It is also big enough to share to share with a friend.
Share with us what you enjoy most about the Holiday Season? My favorite thing about the holidays is the time I get to spend with friends and family. I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. The time spent with them is a gift in itself.
Describe your Holiday style? I would describe my Holiday style as simple with a little bit of glitz. I like to stay true to the classics and add fun jewelry, scarves and accessories to brighten it up. As far as holiday decor, I am currently obsessing over mercury glass or an antique gold finish.
Tops on your gift list? I just spied a beautiful driftwood votive candle holder display at Details and Design that would be perfect for just about any place you put it.
I discovered your homepage by coincidence.
Very interesting posts and well written.
I will put your site on my blogroll.
