I have a thing going on with the Artisan Bake Shop – big time. It started with a cupcake pick-up and now you’ll find their tiered confections in our home throughout the year. Yes, they are that good – and when designing children’s cakes – they are that cute.

‘Tis the season for epic sweet treats! Justin and I usually go with whatever is fresh and local, but there’s also traditional eats that simply make rank because it’s the holidays, and so variety is key.

Enter in the holiday cookie plate {platter, buffet, display} because it’s simple, festive and there’s something for everyone. Artisan offers up a seasonal selection with notes of spice, cinnamon, chocolate and natural peppermint.

The shop is known for their delicious traditional gingerbread houses… these pre-assembled confections come with candies for decorating – it’s a toss up on keeping it for display or serving. You decide. Beyond festive offerings, I love the basics: homemade breads that are beyond fresh and the classic buttercream cupcake.

My style is always classic. I’ll mix in metallics or bright color to keep it current. For evening, I’m all about liquid skinnies and a simple wool sweater – accessorize, and it’s a look. Christmas Day requires comfort chic with just enough sparkle.
